Sea Dog

While surfing, I've never had a bad encounter with a seal or sea lion. I've always imagined them as curious and friendly, much like their canine counterparts on land, and I often call out to them like an old friend if they approach me. While it’s naive to think they could never be dangerous, perhaps my attitude in their territory has made me less of a perceived threat - and we’ve all been better for it. Even if I were to get bitten or barked at, they’d still be the dogs of the sea.
