Alpine Friend

Taking a solo hike up this mountain in mid-September, I made a fair bit of noise on my way up to alert any wildlife to my presence. Sure enough, I caught this bear continuing to put some distance between us as this cut block came into view on my way up a logging road. We both stopped to take each other in for a few moments before it made its way up over the next rise and further up the mountain.
