Deep in the tropics, a couple of friends and I stayed in front of this beach break. It wasn’t the premier wave in the area, but it was always offshore and peaky. We surfed it a few times and found it tricky to get into the waves, so it ended up being one of those spots that looks good but isn’t surfed often for a reason. The mind surfing was better than the real deal, but the image brings back fond memories and inspires me to plan another similar trip soon.
